Summary:

In this role, you will be responsible for developing infrastructure for data collection, storage and web based user interfaces. Responsibilities will include developing and optimizing databases, creating web APIs and web pages for user interaction including user management, multi-dimensional data display.

• Scope, design, build, test and maintain high volume low latency secure backend services
• Contribute to engineering-wide initiatives as a core member of the software engineering team
• Collaborate with multiple cross functional teams to solve critical problems and deliver high quality work in rapid product development
• Own end-to-end deliverables
• Debug and solve critical production issues across services
• Mentor peers or other members of the team to help them grow

• Strong technical background, including 7+ years of software development experience
• Fast learner and good team collaboration and communication skills
• Strong analytical capability in turning the business requirements
• Strong computer science fundamentals and object oriented design skills
• Expert knowledge in distributed systems, scalability and engineering best practices
• Expert in developing NodeJS based services using typescript and/or express
• Experience working with relational/non-relational databases and database architecture
• Experience with streaming architectures for data transmission
• Experience working with front-end technologies, especially react, is a plus
• Prior experience in IOT and/or SAAS platform is a HUGE plus
• Bachelor’s degree in in Computer Science or similar

The salary range for this role is $120,000 to $250,000, plus bonuses and Pre-IPO equity. It is uncommon for anyone to be hired at or near the top range for their role, and final compensation is based on the facts and circumstances of the case. The compensation range is broad because it reflects many factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience, and training directly relevant to the role, business and company needs, cultural fit, level, and location.
