What believers are saying

  • Therapy 2000 and KidsCare now serve over 21,000 children nationwide, expanding referral density.
  • Oregon filings show KidsCare served 1,066 patients in 2025 and kept 91 staff there.
  • Management says the deal adds capital to expand pediatric care without changing service levels.

What critics are saying

  • Oregon approved the 2026 acquisition with conditions, adding compliance scrutiny through closing.
  • Therapist recruiting remains a chokepoint; KidsCare advertises urgent needs in Texas, Oregon, and Massachusetts.
  • Private-equity-backed integration can trigger clinician turnover and service disruption before 2027.

What makes KidsCare Home Health unique

  • 2026 merger with Therapy 2000 created a 2,300-person pediatric platform across nine states.
  • KidsCare combines therapy, private duty nursing, and family CNA services for medically complex children.
  • Military Spouse Employment Partnership and flexible transfers support clinician retention across dispersed markets.
