Senior Process Safety Advisor
We go to market for the search of our new Senior Process Safety Advisor at our site in Low Moor, Bradford. We are looking for that individual who has a degree in Chemical Engineering coupled with extensive Process Safety experience gained in a manufacturing/ chemical environment.
What you’ll be doing as a Senior Process Safety Advisor
As a Senior Process Safety Advisor your days will involve providing technical process safety expertise to our operational and engineering teams. You will use your previous experience to ensure we maintain compliance with legal, Solenis and other requirements, with a focus on Bradford and Grimsby activities and potential support to other sites dependent on business needs. Other key duties will include;
- Monitor and review Process Safety performance through auditing, reporting and investigation.
- Management of an Assessment Programme using Human Factors studies
- Advise site Asset Management on Safety Critical Equipment
- Reviewing upper tier COMAH safety reports, knowledge of Major Accident Hazards and advising the sites to meet COMAH compliance.
- Provide expert Process Safety support and guidance to enable the site to fulfil regulatory inspections and manage the relationship with the H&S Executive, with respect to COMAH.
- Able to support the Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) for plant areas by facilitating hazard studies and Layers of Protection Analysis (LOPA).
What you’ll bring to us
- You’ll educated to degree level in Chemical Engineering.
- A wealth of experience gained within chemical manufacturing (or equivalent), preferably on upper tier COMAH sites.
- You have extensive experience of Process Safety and knowledge in UK regulations such as COMAH, BS EN 61511, 60079-10.
- You are confident in IT. Experience in PHA-Pro will be advantageous.
- Finally, you have excellent communication, facilitation and influencing skills at all levels.
