As a Verizon Break Through Tech Sprintern, you will have the opportunity to grow your skills in one of the following areas:

• AI/ML Engineering 

• Cloud Solutions

• Full Stack Software Development

• Network Automation 

• Network Engineering

• Network Facilities Support 

• Network Operations Support

• Network Performance

• Security Engineering

• Technical Product Management

• Transport Engineering

These are just some of the skill areas our Sprinterns may be involved in during this program, and there may be opportunities in additional skill areas based on business needs. This list is not exhaustive and projects may change based on business needs. 

This Sprinternship is for Break Through Tech program members. You must be currently enrolled in a degree program and be in good academic standing to be considered.

What we’re looking for...

You’re a motivated self-starter. Never satisfied with the status quo, you’re always trying to perform at your personal best. You thrive in a competitive fast-paced environment where new challenges come up every day on leading edge technologies. Learning quickly is personally rewarding and inspires you to take smart risks.  You want to make an impact in your community and your company.  

This posting is for current Break Through Tech program members. You’ll need to have: 

• Ability to participate virtually during business hours in our 3-week sprinternship program that takes place from May 12 - May 30, 2025.

• Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program with a graduation date between December 2026 and May 2027.

• Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship.

• Requires a working, reliable internet connection as well as a quiet, dedicated workspace.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• Experience using Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite.

• Interest in a 10-week hybrid summer internship, with some in person and some virtual experiences, if eligible.

• Demonstrated interest in tech roles.

• Demonstrated strong analytical skills, collaboration, leadership, communication and presentation skills.

• Experience with scripting, coding or programming languages (ex: Python, Java, JavaScript, C, C++ , SQL, R).

• Knowledge of WIFI, wireless or modem communication networks, optics and/or TCP/IP.

• Understanding of radio signal propagation (Industry Ex: Planet EV, Atoll).

• Understanding of Cloud Computing (ex: Cloud Native, Virtualization). 

In this hybrid role, you’ll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.
