Responsibilities
  • Ensure proper control and administration of sensitive materials.
  • Help communicate NGUKL’s information security policies related to FSC.
  • Maintain company security instructions, tracking all relevant details regarding FSC appointments.
  • Coordinate with vetting to keep an updated register of clearances for facility access.
  • Foster strong internal relationships to promote best practices in information security, encouraging responsible information risk management.
  • Assist in conducting security awareness training on FSC and company requirements within the organization.
  • Monitor the following: Usage and movement of sensitive information, Risk Management and Accreditation Document sets for the facility, Security Operating Procedures, Effectiveness of Security Controls.
  • Ensure compliance with the NGUKL Security Incident Management process for timely identification, evaluation, and documentation of non-compliance and information security risks, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Assist with the Northrop Grumman facility visitor process.
  • Develop into a liaison officer to facilitate briefings for staff, ensuring these are controlled and documented.
  • Assist in interpreting Security Aspects Letters and implement required controls.
  • Contribute to internal and external audits as needed.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices regarding security governance, risk, and compliance.
  • Assist in the security management of the UK Defence Operating Unit’s FSC facilities, collaborating with the Defence Equipment and Support (DE&S) Principal Security Advisor (PSyA) to maintain FSC certification.
  • Adhere to NGUKL FSC assurance and compliance protocols, suggesting necessary actions and improvements.
  • Support the completion of the annual FSC compliance questionnaire for DE&S PSyA.
  • Work closely with the NM Facilities Manager to ensure physical security of building is maintained.
  • Responsible for the issuance and collection of security passes.
  • Undertake any other reasonable tasks as assigned.
  • Participate in Security team and cross-departmental meetings as needed.
  • Comply with all relevant Business Management/Command Media processes and procedures.
