HCVT in the news. Los angeles-based accounting firm HCVT boosts Utah presence. Opens Third Office in Lehi Anchored By BYU Alum June 24, 2026 (LOS ANGELES, WEDNESDAY, JUNE 24) - Los Angeles-based accounting firm HCVT opened a new location in Lehi - its third in Utah, company officials announced today. Leading the new office is Douglas H. Andersen, State and Local Tax Partner at HCVT and Brigham Young University alum. Previously, he worked at the firm's Long Beach, Calif., office. Andersen joined HCVT in 2020 after leading Deloitte's multi-state tax practice in the Pacific Northwest. He brings with him deep experience in the tech space having previously served as Deloitte's national technology industry sector leader for multistate taxes and as a tax director at Expedia. "Doug's deep accounting expertise, tech sector experience, and his ties to Utah make him an ideal leader for our new office in Lehi, and as we grow HCVT's presence in the Utah Valley and Silicon Slopes," said Vicken Haleblian, HCVT's CEO and managing partner. "Given Utah's vibrant business base, experienced workforce, and the presence of local universities and outstanding accounting programs, we're making significant investments here." The Lehi location joins HCVT's existing offices in Salt Lake City and Park City, which opened in December 2024 and 2014, respectively. Both are led by HCVT Partner Blake Christian. "This third office will give our clients even greater flexibility in how they access our talent, expertise, and strategic thinking for which we are known," said Haleblian. HCVT currently employs 20 in Utah. Additional talent will be hired at all experience levels as opportunities present. Regardless of their office location, HCVT employees can work on the firm's varied roster of sophisticated clients, which include entertainment companies; notable individuals; private equity firms; family offices; real estate developers; and U.S. entity work on behalf of its international clients. "Our clients will have our best thinking and strategy, whether our talent is located in Southern California, Lehi, or any of our other offices," said Haleblian. "For our employees, we've found that location matters. So, we give them the latitude to live where they want, while still enjoying firm-wide challenges and exciting clientele that accompany a career at HCVT." Company officials also announced the hiring of Jennifer Maroney, formerly the alumni director of the BYU Marriott School of Accountancy. Maroney, who joins as a manager, brings to HCVT deep relationships with BYU's extensive network of accounting grads and the Utah Valley's regional business community. "Both Doug and Jennifer bring their talents and expansive business and accounting networks to HCVT," said Haleblian. "We welcome them and are excited to have them as we continue to build our presence in this vibrant region." LA-Based accounting firm HCVT opens office in Denver.

LA-Based accounting firm HCVT opens office in Denver. Recent Office Openings in Mountain West Underscore Firm's Commitment to Grow National Presence April 8, 2026 (LOS ANGELES, WEDNESDAY, APRIL 8) - HCVT, Los Angeles' largest locally-based accounting firm, continues to grow its presence in the Mountain West region with the opening of its newest location in the Denver Metro area, company officials announced today. The firm is the 31st largest in the country, according to Accounting Today's annual rankings. "Expanding into Denver is a key part of our growth initiative," said Vicken Haleblian, CEO and Managing Partner of HCVT. "Denver's thriving economic landscape and robust corporate culture, paired with a deep pool of seasoned accountants and top-tier local graduates, make it the ideal home for our specialized practice." HCVT's new office is in Greenwood Village at 6400 South Fiddlers Green Circle, Suite 1050. "Our strategy for office placement has evolved alongside our team's needs," Haleblian continued. "We've seen firsthand that proximity to mass transit is a major benefit for our people. By choosing a location that is both central to the Tech Center and steps away from the Village Center Light Rail Station, we are ensuring our team has the flexibility and accessibility they value." Anchoring the new location are the following HCVT partners: A 20-year, "homegrown" HCVT veteran, Hastings will manage the new location and has been working remotely from Denver for the past three years as she planned the new office. She began her public accounting career at HCVT and is now a partner in the firm's audit practice and leads the firm's not-for-profit specialty area. In this capacity, she concentrates on organizations providing life-changing services for children and families through housing, mental health, aging, and substance abuse programs. Within this sector, she works extensively with developers of affordable housing projects funded through tax credit incentives and HUD financing. Kimberly has also developed deep expertise in auditing nonprofit and for-profit organizations funded by federal or state grants. Currently a partner in the firm's Fort Worth, Tex., office with over 20 years of public accounting and private industry experience, Cockerham serves private equity clients, including some of the world's largest global private equity organizations. In addition to extensive knowledge of tax planning, he advises private equity funds on structuring international acquisitions and the disposition of portfolio companies. Cockerham focuses primarily on transactions in the Asian and Australian markets. Prior to joining HCVT, he served in various management roles at a global private equity organization where he was responsible for the oversight of international tax structuring and alternative investments. "As both Kimberly and Terry's experiences demonstrate, we believe in growing talent from within, as well as attracting it," Haleblian said. "Our professionals, regardless of where they are based, work on sophisticated client matters that arise from our unique client mix." HCVT clients range from private equity, real estate, entertainment and media, and high-profile individuals, to family offices. "Our team members do not have to be based in Southern California to have the opportunity to do interesting and challenging tax and accounting work," Haleblian added. The Denver office addition follows the late 2024 opening of an office in downtown Salt Lake City. Haleblian also said more offices will open in 2026 but declined to specify exact locations.
