Requirements
  • Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology
  • Completed an accredited psychology program with the American Psychological Association
  • Licensed or license-eligible to practice in the State of Florida by the appointment start date
  • Minimum two years of relevant work experience
  • Skilled in the assessment of autism and other neurodevelopmental disorders using evidence-based practices and diagnostic tools (e.g., ADOS-2)
  • Experience with children
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Compassionate and willing to go above and beyond to provide treatments that meet individual’s and families’ unique needs
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of health care professionals and with parents/family members
  • Strong written communication skills

Responsibilities
  • Administer, score and interpret psychological, developmental, psycho-educational and autism-specific assessments/evaluations.
  • Identify developmental disorders, including autism spectrum disorder, using information obtained from interviews, tests, records, and reference materials.
  • Coordinate with members of a multidisciplinary evaluation team.
  • Develop recommendations for therapeutic and educational treatment plans.
  • Write integrated reports, detailing test results, clinical impressions and treatment recommendations.
  • Discuss evaluation results and treatment recommendations with clients and/or caregivers.
  • Provide therapeutic services to individuals with autism spectrum disorder and related disabilities and/or their caregivers
  • Participate in case conferences and staff meetings.
  • Perform timely and complete documentation of services provided, consistent with State regulations and professional standards.
  • Maintain privacy of clients; always maintain a professional demeanor with clients, students and employees.
  • Commute and provide services at various CARD/ASAC offices, as needed, throughout Miami-Dade County.
Desired Qualifications
  • Bilingual English-Spanish
  • Possess prior clinical experience in a teaching institution or service setting
  • Experience as a clinical supervisor
