Viva.com joins European Payments Initiative to integrate Wero wallet across 29 markets

Viva.com has joined the European Payments Initiative (EPI), integrating the Wero digital wallet into its payments and banking platform. The integration will initially launch in Belgium, France and Germany, with additional countries to follow as Wero expands. Viva.com operates as a pan-European banking infrastructure across 29 markets, providing services including card acceptance and payment gateways for businesses. Wero will join more than 40 payment methods available through its platform. The Wero digital wallet supports instant account-to-account transfers and reportedly has more than 57 million users across Europe. UK Court Blocks JPMorgan's $1.1B Viva Bid

A UK court has blocked JPMorgan Chase's $1.1 billion lawsuit against Greek fintech Viva Wallet. The dispute arose from JPMorgan's 2022 acquisition of a 48.5% stake in Viva, with an option to buy the remaining shares if Viva's valuation fell below €5 billion by July 30, 2025. JPMorgan alleged Viva obstructed growth to maintain its valuation above the threshold, but the court halted the bank's efforts to trigger the buyout option.
