Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in social work or a related human services field is required.
  • At least two years of post-graduate work are required, including at least one year in the field of developmental disabilities.
  • Ability to develop standard business communications using proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Ability to convey complex information and ideas clearly, concisely, and professionally.
  • Ability to document and maintain accurate data, reports, and records.
  • Basic familiarity with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook, or similar software applications.
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of people.
  • Knowledge of program evaluation and development.
  • Ability to present seminars and workshops.
  • Ability to maintain client information as confidential in compliance with the federal Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 and the California Lanterman Act.
  • Ability to collaborate with providers and community partners.
  • Ability to communicate technical requirements, including policies, procedures, regulations, and expectations, to diverse groups.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and conduct quality assurance evaluations on community programs, including writing evaluation reports, conducting follow-ups, and providing ongoing monitoring.
  • Act as an independent evaluator, an evaluation team leader, or a quality assurance team member.
  • Participate in state reviews of Golden Gate Regional Center services.
  • Revise evaluation tools for residential and nonresidential programs in coordination with other staff, based on working knowledge of Title XVII regulations and best practices.
  • Analyze and review changes in relevant sections of Title XVII and XXII, as well as Department of Developmental Services standard regulations, and make policy recommendations as appropriate.
  • Participate in the Request for Proposal process for service provider selection as needed.
  • Develop plans of correction for underperforming programs and provide follow-up as needed.
  • Serve on in-house and community committees and task forces to improve the quality of community programs.
  • Provide specialized training workshops in evaluation and monitoring for service providers, Golden Gate Regional Center staff, and community representatives.
  • Participate in meetings with Community Care Licensing and other regional centers.
  • Evaluate a Family Homes Agency once a year and provide ongoing technical assistance to the agency.
  • Provide technical assistance to community programs, including targeted training seminars.
  • Participate in special projects and perform additional assigned duties or tasks.
Desired Qualifications
  • A master's degree is preferred.
  • Experience in multicultural settings and/or multilingual capacity is desired.
