Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Proven experience (8+ years) in finance and accounting roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership position
- Strong knowledge of financial principles, practices, and regulations
- Demonstrated expertise in financial analysis, forecasting, and strategic planning
- Experience in budgeting, cost management, and cash flow optimization
- Excellent understanding of financial systems, tools, and technology
- Ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
- Advanced proficiency in financial software, FinancialForce, SalesForce, data reporting and Microsoft Excel
- Professional certifications such as CPA, CFA, or CMA are desirable
Responsibilities
- Financial Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the company's overall objectives
- Collaborate with the executive team to set financial goals, budgets, and forecasts
- Conduct financial analysis, risk assessments, and market research to support decision-making
- Develop forward looking business models including pricing and margin analysis
- Financial Reporting and Analysis:
- Proven track record of building and using Business Intelligence to drive business decisions
- Experience shifting from manual to automated processes, leveraging ERP systems
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements
- Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insights to guide management decisions
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to assess the company's financial performance
- Budgeting and Cost Management:
- Lead the budgeting process, working closely with department heads to establish financial targets
- Monitor and control expenses to ensure compliance with approved budgets
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements across the organization
- Cash Flow Management:
- Manage the company's cash flow, forecasting short-term and long-term cash requirements
- Optimize working capital, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and inventory
- Develop strategies to minimize financial risks related to liquidity
- Financial Operations and Compliance:
- Oversee financial operations, including accounting, taxation, treasury, and internal controls
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, laws, and accounting principles
- Coordinate and manage audits, working closely with external auditors and advisors
- Financing and Investor Relations:
- Assess capital structure and financing options to support growth and expansion plans
- Prepare financial reports and presentations for board meetings
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead a high-performing finance team, providing guidance and mentorship
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and accountability
