Requirements
  • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree is required.
  • An associate degree is accepted if the candidate is enrolled in an accredited Bachelor of Science in Nursing program.
  • A current New York Registered Nurse license and registration are required.
  • Basic Life Support Provider Certification from the American Heart Association is required.
Responsibilities
  • Assess, monitor, administer medication, document progress, and manage overall care for cardiac telemetry step-down patients, including patients with chest pain, positive troponin, congestive heart failure, and arrhythmias.
  • Partner with an interdisciplinary team including attending physicians, registered nurses, and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Advocate for patients and build meaningful relationships with patients and their loved ones through safety interventions, emotional support, and education.
Desired Qualifications
  • One or more years of telemetry experience is preferred.
  • Experience reading cardiac monitors is preferred.
  • Passion for cardiology is desired.
  • Progressive Care Certified Nurse certification is preferred.
