  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant prior experience as a component engineer
  • Experience in assessing components for compliance with industry requirements such as INST-002, AEC-Q100, TOR, JEDEC, and others
  • Knowledge of component selection, qualification, screening, and derating for military and aerospace
  • Knowledge of Space/Hi-rel component screening methods
  • Experience in writing and reviewing Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) to component-level procurement and test control documents
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong desire to change an industry and disrupt incumbent players
  • Sense of urgency, with the ability to work independently under agile development timelines
  • Willingness to learn and work in both a support capacity and as a lead on differing functions
Responsibilities
  • High-reliability EEE parts selection, standardization, qualification, and performance verification
  • Work with all functional groups to develop and maintain EEE Part Standards and Policies
  • EEE part expertise and support on aerospace programs
  • Review customer requests for proposals, statements of work, and specifications to identify parts requirements
  • Develop a roadmap for state-of-the-art parts and components
  • Evaluate components for compliance to industry requirements
  • Assist in the selection, evaluation, and approval of new components during the NPI development stage
  • Generate EEE part procurement and screening documents for military and aerospace programs
  • Write and review Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) to component-level procurement and test control documents
  • Review screening and test data received from manufacturers and test laboratories
  • Evaluate defective components and failure analysis reports
  • Development of Source Control Drawings and Alter Item Drawings for space-grade components
  • Preparation of Non-Standard Parts Approval Requests (NSPAR), SDRLs, and As-Designed and As-Built Parts Lists
  • Perform and review key reliability analyses
  • Apply military and aerospace industry reliability criteria to analyses
  • Perform cost analysis of BoM, components research, and vendor/supplier audits
