Associate Principal Engineer

We are looking for a technology evangelist who will be responsible for contributing product development that aligns with Aristocrat’s strategic product roadmap.
Spearhead full-stack development encompassing, JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, and Node
Serving as a subject matter expert on technology trends, emerging tools, and industry best practices
Leading initiatives to pilot new technologies/components or methodologies and assess their feasibility for adoption.
Facilitating discussions and negotiations to resolve conflicts or discrepancies between different stakeholders' expectations.
Communicating effectively with business leaders, project managers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Proactively identify risks and formulate contingency plans
Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements
You will be working with team to design, implement and maintain new slots and casino games, features and functionalities in Aristocrat’s solutions under Aristocrat Interactive products portfolio.
You will collaborate with other team members and share knowledge to refine best practices followed by team.
You will get an opportunity to take technical ownership of the modules/features assigned to you.
Works with Software Architects, Product Managers, product developers, subject matter experts and others on assigned modules.
Identify and raise risks in a timely manner and take necessary action to mitigate the same
Mentor/Coach other junior members in the team
Presenting technical proposals and solutions to stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner.
Do analysis and estimation of tasks assigned with minimum deviation.

What You'll Do

• 9-12 years’ experience working in enterprise grade software development processes with minimum 7+ years of experience in TypeScript / JavaScript. 
• Proficient in JavaScript, TypeScript with a deep understanding of the JavaScript ecosystem
• Exceptional technical writing skills, adept at creating comprehensive technical documentation
• Ability to design and articulate complex technical solutions effectively
• Hands-on experience in developing client-side mobile and web applications and games
• Lead local technical architect team and provide technical guidance.
• Proficiency with continuous delivery, integration, and build technologies
• Working knowledge of Git, preferably with experience in GitLab
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, XP, Kanban, etc.)
• Working on end-to-end object-oriented design and development of application/product 
• Designing, coding, debugging and maintenance of Typescript. 
• Leading the development team and ensuring that they follow industry-standard best practices
• Good understanding of web optimization techniques
• Proficiency in modeling environments such as Unified Modeling Language (UML).
• Good programming skills along with development & debugging experience.
• Proficient problem-solving skills, with a pragmatic approach to development considering delivery deadlines and code quality
• Demonstrates high level of accuracy and attention to detail. 
• Able to grasp functional aspects well (quickly and with minimal guidance).
• work collaboratively with Global team/studio Leads for status updates, guidance and working as one team to deliver defined goals.
• Participation in after business hours calls as per business need.
• Comfortable in dynamic work environments with evolving priorities and context switching
• Possesses a keen business acumen and recognizes the significance of ROI

What We're Looking For

B.Tech. / B.E. / MCA /M.Tech. in Computer Science with 10+ years of experience in software development. 
Requires a minimum of 8 years of experience with Angular , JQuery, HTML5, JavaScript, Typescript.
Require a minimum of 5 years of experience with OOPs 
Experience with an Agile development methodology, preferably Scrum.
Must have strong communication skills, able to work with team.
Good inter-personal skills. Should be able to mentor and motivate others.
Working experience with Typescript, JavaScript
Prior experience in the mobile/web gaming industry is a plus
Experience working with Google Cloud is a plus
Experience with an Agile development methodology, preferably Scrum
Prior experience with PixiJS/Cocos2d-x/Phaser/CreateJS HTML5 game development framework
