- Manage all inbound and outbound truck, trailer, and container traffic through the Shipping and Receiving Center while meeting ABW and customer requirements.
- Inspect inbound trailers and document rejected trailers or containers using the Rejected Trailer Smartsheet.
- Inspect outbound trailers, perform seal checks, and document exceptions using the Smartsheet form.
- Perform reefer temperature checks as required by the customer.
- Check fuel tank levels on inbound trailers and perform routine yard checks for trailers and fuel levels.
- Confirm pickup numbers and arrive trailers.
- Direct drivers through verbal instructions and communicate with the warehouse operations team and spotter.
- Print and document bills of lading according to ABW instructions.
- Interact with drivers and visitors in a polite and professional manner.
- Operate the yard truck to complete yard checks.
- Input and support the exception reporting process.
- Assist with ABW Customer Service Representative requests.
- Inspect outbound empty trailers to ensure they are empty.
- Inspect plant shuttles and trailers entering and leaving the facility to ensure seals are applied, except for the Columbia plant shuttle.
- Confirm shipment destinations with drivers for all outbound shipments, match verbal confirmation to the bill of lading, and obtain driver initials on the bill of lading.
- Resolve shipment discrepancies by verifying the carrier move identification number.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear high-visibility outer clothing as required.
- Verbally instruct drivers to disconnect from trailers during loading and unloading and direct drivers regarding on-site activity.
- Manage access and direct emergency vehicles as needed.
- Secure yard access during emergency events.
