Hilton, Radisson, and Accor plan 10+ Morocco hotels as tourism surges 20%

Morocco is experiencing an unprecedented tourism boom, with nearly 20 million international tourists visiting in 2026, marking a 20% year-on-year increase. Major destinations like Marrakesh have seen overnight stays surge by nearly 40%. Major hotel chains are capitalising on this growth with significant expansion plans. Hilton has opened a 55-room Waldorf Astoria in Rabat's Mohammed VI Tower and plans six new properties across Morocco by 2030, including Tapestry Collection hotels in Casablanca and Chefchaouen, plus DoubleTree and Curio Collection properties in Marrakech and Nador. Accor is developing a Sofitel Tangier for 2029 and partnering with local group Risma on a tourism academy. Radisson is constructing Radisson Blu and Radisson RED properties in Casablanca for 2028.
