  • 5+ years conducting research
  • Even better if experience includes researching B2B audiences and/or marketplaces
  • Research Expertise and Impact
  • Experience with all aspects of the research process: study design, recruitment, moderation, questionnaire design, analysis, reporting, and executive presentations
  • Experience managing a wide range of qualitative and quantitative research: surveys, interviews, focus groups, diary studies, field studies, positioning research, etc. An understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of different research methods, including when and how to use them
  • Ability to clearly define research questions, approach, and analysis plan
  • Proven track record of taking research data and transforming it into actionable insights that drive real decisions and business impact
  • Even better if experience includes managing vendors, freelancers, or direct reports
  • Storytelling and Communication
  • Ability to collaborate with internal partners to identify research opportunities
  • Ability to create compelling narratives and frameworks
  • Ability to use data from multiple sources to tell a story and develop strategic recommendations
  • A transparent, collaborative approach to working that invites others into the process, keeps them informed and involved, and welcomes feedback
  • Strong relationship-building, communication, and presentation skills
Responsibilities
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to identify research needs and develop research plans
  • Organize, conduct, and report on primary customer research and market research
  • Assess and manage external research vendors
  • Synthesize, summarize, and devise actionable strategies from customer insights
  • Present relevant insights to a variety of stakeholders and partners at all levels
  • Make substantive recommendations regarding ezCater marketing, messaging, products and services, and overall customer experience; gain internal support to act on these
  • Be a customer advocate, representing their needs in business decisions
  • Deeply understand our customers, market, and product
  • Work hand-in-hand with the Director of Customer Insights to guide industry trend and thought leadership research, moderate customer interviews, analyze quantitative survey data, and manage ongoing brand tracking program
  • Help develop and contribute to an internal research repository that enables anyone to access and search for research insights
