Requirements
  • A high school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A Food Handler’s permit or Serve Safe Certification where required by law or policy.
  • Knowledge of the operations and maintenance of all equipment in the assigned stores.
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Availability to work a minimum of three second shifts per week opposite the manager, ensuring that key operating hours have a manager on duty.
  • Reliable transportation and phone.
  • Regular and consistent attendance.
  • Ability to communicate in English, if applicable.
  • Ability and willingness to deliver friendly, courteous, and prompt customer service.
  • Ability and willingness to work cooperatively with other team members.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, walk frequently, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear, and occasionally sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Physical attendance at the primary work location.
Responsibilities
  • Complete all required paperwork accurately and submit it on time.
  • Open and close shifts, including completing all required documentation.
  • Ensure customer needs are met and company customer service policies are consistently followed.
  • Supervise cash handling procedures, including control and bank deposits.
  • Help ensure team members follow proper food preparation, handling, storage, and safety procedures in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Resolve customer, personnel, and mechanical issues as they arise.
  • Ensure the assigned store meets company standards for cleanliness, organization, safety, and overall appearance inside and outside.
  • Assist with inventory control, ordering, and merchandise pricing.
  • Support implementation and follow-up of company training programs.
  • Supervise and train store personnel so job duties are performed correctly and efficiently.
  • Train personnel on food handling, proper hold times, code dating, and temperature controls.
  • Ensure food products are properly stored, labeled, code dated, and maintained at appropriate temperatures.
  • Help ensure all shifts are adequately covered.
  • Ensure all personnel are in proper uniform and maintain a neat, clean appearance.
  • Assist in implementing and enforcing company policies and procedures.
  • Report maintenance, customer, and personnel problems to upper management in a timely manner.
  • Help maintain required records related to merchandise, personnel, and fuel.
  • Promote and maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Attend management and training sessions as required.
  • Provide friendly and competent customer service.
  • Report for work in a timely manner when scheduled.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned.
  • Directly supervise 4 to 16 employees in each assigned Pump & Pantry.
