Donaldson secures $400M credit facility to fund growth and acquisitions

Donaldson Company has entered into a three-year, unsecured delayed draw term loan credit facility of $400 million with a syndicate of lenders led by Wells Fargo Bank. The facility, signed on 8 April 2026, has no current borrowings and includes covenants on interest coverage and adjusted debt-to-EBITDA ratios. The committed borrowing capacity provides Donaldson with additional financial flexibility to fund future growth initiatives or acquisitions whilst maintaining balance sheet discipline. The announcement follows the appointment of Richard S. Lewis as chief executive officer and director, effective 2 March 2026. Analysts project the filtration company's revenue to reach $4.3 billion and earnings of $564.5 million by 2029, requiring 5% annual revenue growth. However, investors face risks from potential margin pressure due to rising input costs and tariffs.

FILTRATION WEEKLY: strategic IP shifts, innovation & PFAS battles.

FILTRATION WEEKLY: strategic IP shifts, innovation & PFAS battles. FILTRATION WEEKLY: global Industry Intelligence. Issue: FW032926 | Date: March 29 2026 Industry Intelligence | Brief of the World Filtration Institute (WFI) This issue covers PGI, Donaldson, DuPont, Waterdrop, Toray, ECHA, and the U.S. EPA. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY The final week of March 2026 marks a decisive pivot toward infrastructure-critical filtration and high-stakes regulatory defense. Headlines are led by Premium Guard's (PGI) strategic acquisition of First Brands' IP to anchor its diesel and aftermarket dominance. In the high-growth tech sector, Donaldson has officially activated its modular coolant filtration skids, positioning itself as a primary guardian for the AI-driven liquid cooling market. Simultaneously, the industry faces a regulatory "double-header": a D.C. Circuit Court ruling has forced the EPA to defend its PFAS Hazard Index, while the ECHA opens the final 60-day window for fluoropolymer exemptions in membranes. These updates, paired with Camfil's new intelligent air cleaners, signal an era where filtration is a high-tech pillar of industrial and environmental resilience.
