  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing or Midwifery.
  • Graduation from an accredited Nurse-Midwifery education program.
  • Current certification as a Certified Nurse Midwife.
  • Eligibility for unrestricted advanced practice licensure in the practicing state.
  • DEA registration or eligibility, if applicable.
  • Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
  • Expertise in normal pregnancy, childbirth, and women's health care.
  • Excellent communication and patient education abilities.
  • Commitment to patient-centered, culturally competent care.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.
Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive midwifery care, including prenatal, labor and delivery, and postpartum services.
  • Conduct gynecologic examinations, preventive screenings, and family planning services.
  • Manage low-risk pregnancies and births within scope of practice.
  • Perform vaginal deliveries and assist with obstetric procedures as appropriate.
  • Provide newborn assessments and care as permitted by scope and privileges.
  • Educate patients and families on pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, and wellness.
  • Collaborate with obstetricians, nurses, lactation consultants, and ancillary services.
  • Identify high-risk conditions and initiate appropriate consultation or referral.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and care planning.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in the electronic health record.
  • Support quality improvement, patient safety, and evidence-based practice initiatives.
