Requirements
- Two to three or more years of hands-on experience operating AWS-based applications.
- Experience provisioning, operating, and maintaining systems running on AWS.
- Ability to identify and gather requirements to define a solution to be built and operated on AWS.
- Capability to provide AWS operations and deployment guidance and best practices throughout the lifecycle of a project.
- Experience with Linux, virtual machines, Nagios, and NGINX.
Responsibilities
- Deploy, manage, and operate scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems on AWS.
- Migrate an existing on-premises application to AWS.
- Implement and control the flow of data to and from AWS.
- Select appropriate AWS services based on compute, data, or security requirements.
- Identify appropriate AWS operational best practices.
- Estimate AWS usage costs and identify operational cost-control mechanisms.
- Communicate orally and in writing with high-level public officials and a variety of audiences.
- Produce weekly activity reports, oral presentations, briefings, standard operating procedures, software development life-cycle documents, checklists, risk and issue logs, and required artifacts.
