The Facilities Management team at Nutanix, located in San Jose, California, is a closely-knit group focused on ensuring a well-functioning and welcoming workplace. You will report to the West Coast Facilities Manager, who believes in a participative leadership style that values open communication and collaboration among team members. This approach fosters a positive work environment where everyone feels encouraged to share their ideas and insights. The work setup for this role is 100% on-site, requiring the new hire to be present in the office every day.
The travel requirement for the Facilities Manager role is minimal, with an estimated travel obligation of around 10%. This allows the new hire to focus primarily on supporting team initiatives without the need for extensive travel commitments.
Your Role
- Ensure the office environment is clean, safe, and well-maintained by coordinating with cleaning services and monitoring supplies.
- Respond to and troubleshoot building-related requests, coordinating with vendors for maintenance and repairs.
- Manage vendor relationships for service-related needs, ensuring timely execution and quality standards.
- Assist with employee relocation within the building, including moving furniture and office equipment as required.
- Track and report on office expenses and service invoices, providing regular updates on facility-related issues.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee requests related to office space, supplies, and support for new hires.
- Coordinate logistics for office events, meetings, and functions, including tech setups for virtual or hybrid meetings.
- Integrate into the team culture, collaborating effectively with colleagues to build strong working relationships and enhance the office environment.
What You Will Bring
- 4 years of experience in facilities management.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in analytics.
- Strong vendor management and relationship-building skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to create presentations.
- Experience in event management and customer service.
- Ability to track and analyze office expenses and service invoices.
- Familiarity with graphic design tools like Canva and Adobe products.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration and team dynamics.
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $29.11 and USD $43.67 per hour.
However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
