Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • On August 6, 2026, Ambrook raised $30 million from Lachy Groom and Thomson Reuters Ventures.
  • Ambrook grew from 2,500 customers in July 2025 to 8,000+ businesses by August 2026.
  • Its AI scans receipts, drafts bills, and suggests categories, cutting bookkeeping labor.

What critics are saying

  • Ambrook's expansion into trucking, contracting, and property management dilutes its agriculture-specific moat.
  • QuickBooks and other incumbents can bundle cheaper accounting, payments, and banking faster.
  • If trust in AI bookkeeping breaks, Ambrook becomes a niche farm tool, not a platform.

What makes Ambrook unique

  • Ambrook is built for Schedule F, enterprise tracking, and biological inventory from day one.
  • It combines bookkeeping, invoicing, payments, and banking for farm operators in one system.
  • By August 2026, Ambrook serves 8,000+ businesses across 50 states, gathering rare workflow data.
