Job Summary:
Extreme’s Cloud Architecture team is a group of talented engineers passionate about building highly reliable, scalable, and secure solutions in public / private cloud environments. We are looking to hire a Staff frontend web developer with strong working experience in Operation Support System design and development. You will work with the team to implement our Edge Cloud Support System. Responsibilities:
- Design and implement cloud service management system for public cloud, private cloud, and edge cloud.
- Integrate cloud deployment, upgrade, monitoring, backup, failover, log collection, automation tools and dashboards in service management system for on-premises air-gap deployment.
- Frontend UI Workflow design and implementation.
- Create quality mock-ups and prototypes for cloud service management system.
- Collaborate with other engineers, product owners, and designers to identify and solve challenging problems.
- Create and maintain Architecture, Design, Troubleshooting, Deployment, Configuration documents.
- Produce well designed, factored, and tested code.
Qualifications:
- 3 – 5+ years of industry experience in software engineering
- Hands on programming experience in JavaScript, CSS, Java, JSON, HTML
- Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, REACT
- Experience with cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)
- Hands on experience with Python based automation and CI/CD orchestration with Jenkins
- Solid computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, etc.)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Other skills that would be useful &/or learned in this role:
- Experience with XML, RESTAPI
- Hands-on experience with GIT and GitHub
- Full stack development skills are a plus
- Experience with cloud architecture and related technologies
- Familiarity with service-oriented architecture and distributed computing
- Experience developing enterprise security/networking products
- Knowledge of Linux and shell scripting
