Short Description

• Directs daily activities within the department. 
• Facilitates employee orientation and training.
• Performs area specific QA/QC procedures.
• Performs radiographic procedures in accordance with the ALARA concept. 
• Assists physicians with radiographic procedures.
• Performs various operations using radiographic and associated equipment.
• Assures maintenance of all radiographic and associated equipment. 
• Maintains patient records via appropriate system.
• Performs patient care functions in a safe environment.
• Adheres to hospital and departmental policies and procedures. 
• Substantiates status of good standing with state and national licensing/credentialing agencies by the submission of appropriate documentation. 
• Interacts effectively with all customers.
• Assists staff and students in the performance of radiographic procedures and associated duties.
• Participates in the evaluation of staff and students as needed. 
• Assists with the transportation of patients, maintains work area and performs basic clerical duties.

Experience Required

Certificate of completion/Degree from an Accredited Radiograph Program.

Minimum of 3 years clinical experience; biennial completion of minimum required CE credits to maintain required certification/accreditation

Education Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent required.

License/Certification Requirements

• Must be licensed by the NJDEPE and credentialed in radiograph and mammography by the ARRT.
• Current ARRT - American Registry Radiology Tech License.
• Current NJ-RADTECH - NJ Radiology Tech License.
• CPR certification
