Responsibilities 
Assist in editing, proofreading, fact checking, researching, copy editing and writing for all official Major League Baseball publications, including annual All-Star Game, LCS and World Series Programs, plus special projects as needed. Edit designed stories using InDesign. Handle any other publication-related tasks related to producing publications for both print and online, including selecting photos, writing headlines and photo captions, helping with budgets and mailings, brainstorming story and project ideas, trafficking and approving ads, producing stories for MLB.com, and any other editorial needs that arise.

Requirements

·         Bachelor’s degree preferred

·         Very strong Editorial and computer skills (excellent practical knowledge of Adobe InDesign necessary; working knowledge of Illustrator and Photoshop preferred).

·         Proven ability to produce quality and accurate editorial work under deadline pressure

·         Solid magazine or newspaper editing experience

·         Knowledge of baseball is a must

·         Ability to handle multiple tasks with great attention to detail

Per the NYC pay transparency law, the hiring range for this position is an hourly rate of $20.00 to $22.00. The actual offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your work experience, education, skills and any other factors Major League Baseball (MLB) considers relevant to the hiring decision.
