The Systematic Equity (SE) team manages a wide variety of systematic equity strategies across global equity markets over a broad active risk spectrum. Built by a team with decades of experience, the stock-selection model that informs all of our solutions contain our best investment insights — carefully scrutinized, extensively tested and grounded in a strong economic rationale. Quantitative research that combines creative investment insights with rigorous statistical testing is an integral part of SE’s investment process.
We are seeking a quantitative research analyst intern with extraordinary analytical skills and background who will participate in interesting research projects to further improve our investment process and/or contribute to our state-of-the-art research platform.
Job Responsibilities:
Participate in research projects to test investment ideas to further improve our investment process.
Understand the nature of the data and build investment hypotheses in collaboration with senior researchers.
Write a code to convert raw data into properly treated data readily usable for signal construction.
Construct potential investment signals and evaluate them following SE’s research convention.
Present results and lead the discussion in weekly SE research meeting.
Qualifications:
MS/PhD candidate in a quantitative discipline such as computer science, mathematics, statistics, physics or engineering.
Great analytical skills with solid knowledge in statistics and machine learning.
Strong problem solving capabilities with attention to details.
Excellent programming skills with experience in Python or R.
Interest in financial markets and quantitative investment.
Salary Range:
$15,600 - $58,500 Annual
