Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of auditing and/or related technical experience is required.
  • An interim Secret clearance is required, or the ability to obtain this level of clearance.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, is required.
  • Candidates must demonstrate an understanding of accounting and auditing concepts and apply them to client situations.
  • Candidates must demonstrate professionalism and competence in the client's environment.
  • Candidates must be self-starters, self-motivated, and results-oriented.
  • Candidates must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct testing to determine the effectiveness of information technology controls.
  • Prepare work products, including workpapers, findings, reports, and other written deliverables, in accordance with auditing standards and firm guidelines.
  • Own assigned work areas.
  • Review work products prepared by the team.
  • Provide guidance to less experienced resources.
  • Execute tasks for assigned work areas according to an internally developed schedule, allowing sufficient time for secondary review and submission to the client in accordance with contractual deadlines.
  • Leverage technology, including data analysis tools and artificial intelligence, to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of audit procedures.
  • Meet attendance, punctuality, company, and client deadline expectations and abide by company policies.
  • Participate in formal and informal training to continuously develop technical and non-technical competencies.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and competence in the client's environment.
  • Foster an efficient, innovative, and team-oriented work environment.
  • Prepare acceptable workpapers, write-ups, and memoranda.
  • Report audit findings to the supervisor, manager, or partner and recommend corrections for unsatisfactory conditions.
  • Execute the day-to-day information technology and audit activities of the engagement and conduct daily fieldwork.
  • Gather audit-related data.
  • Demonstrate awareness and knowledge of the federal government's financial and management responsibilities.
  • Assist in drafting and preparing project deliverables.
  • Use technology to share knowledge with team members, develop skills, and continually learn.
Desired Qualifications
  • An Information Systems degree is preferred.
  • The Certified Information Systems Auditor certification is preferred.
  • Knowledge of National Institute of Standards and Technology Special Publication 800-53, Security and Privacy Controls for Information Systems and Organizations, is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Federal Accounting Standards Advisory Board Statements of Federal Financial Accounting Standards is preferred.
  • Knowledge of the Government Accountability Office's Government Auditing Standards is preferred.
  • Knowledge of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants' Statements on Auditing Standards is preferred.
  • Knowledge of the Government Accountability Office and Council of the Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency Financial Audit Manual is preferred.
  • Knowledge of the Government Accountability Office Federal Information System Controls Audit Manual is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Office of Management and Budget Bulletin 24-02, Audit Requirements for Federal Financial Statements, as amended, is preferred.
  • Knowledge of other federal reporting and accounting requirements, including Office of Management and Budget bulletins and circulars and the United States Standard General Ledger, is preferred.

Sikich, a professional services company, has acquired Jefferson Wells' US operations from ManpowerGroup for $100 million, with net cash proceeds of approximately $89 million after adjustments. The deal brings 300 employees and adds capabilities in risk and compliance, finance and accounting, and tax consulting. Milwaukee-based Jefferson Wells, with over 30 years of operating history, generated $76 million in US revenues in 2025. The company serves public and highly regulated companies across financial services, technology and energy sectors, complementing Sikich's existing presence in healthcare, life sciences and manufacturing. Sikich chairman Christopher Geier said the acquisition enhances existing capabilities whilst maintaining alignment in culture and client service approach. The transaction closed on 30 April.

The transaction closed on 30 April 2026, with ManpowerGroup receiving net cash proceeds of approximately $88 million after working capital adjustments. Jefferson Wells US delivers risk and compliance, finance and accounting, and tax solutions through project consulting, integrated resourcing and executive search. The business generated $76 million in revenues in 2025. ManpowerGroup plans to use the proceeds to strengthen its balance sheet whilst focusing on its core Manpower, Experis and Talent Solutions brands. The sale will result in a gain to be recognised in the second quarter. Sikich said the acquisition enhances its capabilities in risk, compliance, finance, accounting and tax services.
