Requirements
  • Candidates must be enrolled in a graduate program within the Department of Biochemistry, or in another graduate program at McGill University, for the Winter 2026 term.
  • At least one (1) year experience in the Graduate Program.
  • Must have previous experience as a Teaching Assistant on the BIOC 220 or BIOC 320 lab courses.
  • Have experience using Endnote, Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Have experience writing Lab reports or scientific articles.
  • Effective communication skills in English are essential. French is an asset.
  • If you are International Student, you must hold a valid study permit covering TA contract period.
  • Before applying, please note that to work at McGill University, you must be both authorized to work in Canada and willing to work in the province of Quebec at the campus where the position is based / located.
Responsibilities
  • Provide tutorials on Endnote, Microsoft Excel and Word, and Lab report writing as part of the Monday lectures.
  • Correct and grade lab reports and final.
  • Monitor MyCourses discussion board.
  • Coordinate with the other BIOC 220 TAs on problem solving pertaining to the course/tutorials/students.
Desired Qualifications
  • French is an asset.
