Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Security, or related field. MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years in government facing roles (government experience can count for 5 of the 10), with at least 5 years in leadership
  • Record of meeting or exceeding forecasts and driving sales growth in a business
  • Skilled in managing and coaching through the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing
  • Personally active with customers; adept at both closing deals and leveraging those relationships to expand footprint and continue to grow
  • Great storytelling ability - can map new products to customer value in a compelling way
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to effectively convey complex technical/security concepts
  • Strong strategic and customer focus with a clear understanding of the wider issues impacting government customer base
  • Deep expertise in negotiating and and closing complex deals
Responsibilities
  • Design and execute a Federal strategy that aligns with Cape’s vision and goals
  • Build and lead a lean but mighty team to execute the strategy; grow team members through coaching, mentoring, and performance management
  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives and plans to achieve growth objectives, to include new starts, renewals, and year over year revenue growth on Federal accounts
  • Deeply understand the Federal space and needs to provide customer-driven, iterative feedback to shape product development
  • Own the numbers— hit growth targets, maintain good forecasts, monitor ROI on growth initiatives
  • Come in with a strong understanding of the buyer: Federal agencies. Resonate with the unique challenge ubiquitous technical surveillance presents and the solution that Cape has built.
  • Be Cape’s internal voice of the customer and ultimately help shape product development and longer-term company strategy
  • Bring operational rigor around overall effectiveness of pipeline management, process, methodology, metrics, review, cadence, tools
