Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Experience: One (1) year of professional administrative or coordinator experience.
  • Other: Additional work experience as defined above may be substituted on a year for year basis for up to four (4) years of the required education.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with communications strategies, tactics, and deliverables including researching, writing, and editing newsletter stories.
  • Update and maintain the University System of Maryland at Southern Maryland website.
  • Manage USMSM social media accounts.
  • Assist with events and visitors/VIPs.
  • Work with staff and external marketing contractor to develop recruiting and marketing material.
  • Assist executive director with PowerPoints and community messages.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Support messaging efforts with the Clark School of Engineering’s MATRIX lab (on site), and the University System of Maryland.
  • Duties prioritized under the direction of the Executive Director for USMSM to best suit the needs of the Center.
