HOW YOU WILL DO IT
Purpose Statement: The role of the NPI Engineer is to initiate and provide guidance to the design, development, troubleshooting, and optimization of manufacturing and supporting processes for new product, using classical manufacturing engineering skills. An NPI Engineer has a high degree of knowledge and understanding of critical manufacturing processes best practices.
Key Job Accountabilities:
- Execute and monitor new product introduction builds to drive improvements.
- Deliver world-class user experience by establishing optimal quality solutions.
- Publish progress reports on product readiness to stakeholders.
Additional Accountabilities:
- Drive notable year over year improvements in Key Performance Indicators.
- Travel to customer site for early engagement (with customer-focus team staff).
- Oversee the implementation of new customer quality requirements
- Determine need for Plexus DFX (or subsets).
- Coordinate APQP activities and ensure they drive meeting KPI goals upon launch plan.
- Lead Plexus Part Quality Plan initiative.
- Occasional travel may be required to meet the needs of the business (estimated 10-25%).
- Additional duties as assigned.
Education/Experience Qualifications:
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required; a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or higher is preferred.
- Five (5) years of related experience is required; Five (5) or more years of equivalent industry experience is preferred.
- Preferably two (2) years in a supervisory or project leader role.
An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered.

Work Environment:
- The work setting should consist of a manufacturing environment with suitable lighting, comfortable temperatures, and a moderate noise level.
