As the Chief People Officer for Operations, you will partner directly with our Chief Operations Officer, Operations leadership team and global Chief People Officer to create and deliver the end to end talent strategy across Wayfair’s 11,000+ strong global Operations Org that includes Supply Chain, Customer Service, Logistics, Planning, and Inventory Management.
You will lead a direct team of Talent Business Partners supporting the COO staff, as well as indirect management across the Centers of Excellence supporting the Operations Org (Talent Acquisition, Compensation, DEI, Performance, L&D, Employee Relations). You will shape the overall Talent strategy (encompassing org design evolution, headcount strategy, compensation, performance, attrition management, employee engagement, etc) in collaboration with your team, the Operations Org and the broader Talent leadership team.
In addition to sitting on COO staff, you are a critical member of the Talent Organization and a direct report of the Chief People Officer. Your insights from the Operations Org will help to shape broader Wayfair Talent as we grow to $100Bn and beyond. The success and support of our Operations Org is foundational to our ongoing growth.
What You’ll Do:
- As a critical member of both the Operations and Talent orgs, you will lead the end to end people strategy and execution for the Operations organization
- You will lead, manage and hire (as necessary) a direct and indirect team across all areas of Talent, ensuring that the strategy for Operations is consistent across all Talent functions
- You will build the multi year vision for the talent evolution of the Operations organization while ensuring day to day execution of current Talent priorities
- You will be a key member of Talent leadership team, helping to push forward Wayfair’s broader Talent strategy with insights from the Operations Org
- You will be the primary Talent support for the COO and the COOs directs, providing direct coaching and guidance to the COOs leadership team
What You’ll Need:
- Talent leadership and operating experience across multiple areas strongly preferred (e.g., transformation, people analytics, talent strategy, org design, people & career development, talent acquisition)
- Experience supporting an operations or field-based organization with experience providing localized strategies to a diverse group of stakeholders
- 15+ years of experience
- Global experience working with employees across multiple geographies
- Proven direct leadership and management experience, with particular focus on managing through others
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively influence and communicate at all levels of the organization and lead multiple stakeholder relationships
- Prior experience in consulting, project management, or corporate strategy in the operations sector preferred
