Requirements
  • Vocational or Technical Certificate in related field and at a minimum of 5-10 years of directly related experience, and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Good manual dexterity while working under a microscope is required.
  • Must be able to read and follow detailed work instructions, schematics, and alignment procedures.
  • Must continuously meet and exceed assigned business goals.
  • US Citizenship with ability to attain/maintain government security clearance.
Responsibilities
  • Bring together and fabricate YIG devices according to engineering specifications.
  • Perform electrical and microwave testing of YIG components, ensuring they meet required.
  • Familiarity with alignment, testing, troubleshooting and perform acceptance testing production microwave hardware up to 26.5 GHz.
  • Thorough familiarity with microwave YIG device architecture.
  • Adjust YIG oscillators and filters to achieve desired frequency and performance characteristics.
  • Pinpoint and resolve issues in YIG components, working closely with engineering teams to implement solutions.
  • Conduct inspections and quality checks to ensure YIG devices meet all technical requirements and company standards.
  • Retain accurate records of all fabrication, testing, and tuning activities, including data sheets and test results.
  • Regularly calibrate and maintain testing and fabrication equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Work closely with engineers and other technicians to improve processes and optimize performance.
  • Possess energy, enthusiasm, and positive attitude.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal to no supervision.
  • Comply with all safety protocols and guidelines while working in the lab and handling materials.
