Requirements
  • A high school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) credential is required.
  • Three to five years of sales experience within maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) or industrial sectors and in customer-facing roles are required.
  • The role requires approximately 50% of time on site at customer plants or company facilities.
  • The role requires up to 25% domestic and international travel.
Responsibilities
  • Act as the liaison between customers and the organization.
  • Build and maintain a robust network of customer contacts, including weekly visits to customer plants or company facilities.
  • Prepare periodic sales reports showing volume, potential sales, and expansion opportunities.
  • Gather data for departmental forecasts and business planning.
  • Conduct pre-call planning, post-call follow-up, and business prospecting.
  • Provide timely quotes, negotiate pricing and delivery, and issue price-change notices.
  • Plan, control, and manage sales activities to maximize volume and potential sales from key customers.
  • Manage inventory levels and schedule shipments in collaboration with warehouses and logistics partners.
  • Monitor sales results, implement countermeasures, and update weekly sales reports by the end of business each Thursday.
  • Coordinate with engineering, program management, quality, manufacturing, and purchasing to develop product definitions responsive to customer needs.
  • Manage mature products through phase-out and work with customers to achieve zero obsolete inventory at the end of service life.
