Requirements
  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university AND 5 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; OR a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university AND 3 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; or a Ph.D. AND 1 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering.
  • Must have an active DoD Secret clearance that is in-scope (granted or renewed within the last 6 years).
  • Must be able to attain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR/SAP) prior to start.
  • Agile development methodologies experience.
  • Systems Engineering experience supporting the entire product lifecycle.
  • Working knowledge or experience in two or more technical areas: Ground systems/segments, Cross domain solutions, Maintenance operations, Communications systems or Hardware and software systems.
Responsibilities
  • To provide insight and knowledge transfer to others on internal and external technical solutions to solve complex problems.
  • Demonstrate ability to formally present technical solutions to leadership.
  • Provide guidance and direction to other technical employees in the application of systems engineering principles and techniques to achieve practical end results locally and at remote customer sites.
  • Prioritize and identify Maintenance related Ground Systems customer needs in meeting strategic goals.
  • Work closely with the Product Owner to manage customer expectations through continuous engagement with customer stakeholders to understand evolving requirements.
  • Monitor progress during sprints (Agile), while adapting to feedback and changing priorities.
  • Collaborates with Mx Product Owner to organize work so that the integrated team can review, commit, and execute within a defined period.
  • Prioritizes key areas of work during a program increment, ensures that the Maintenance team understands the intent and requirements of feature and user story definitions, and that the team is aligned on all acceptance criteria.
  • Supports quarterly Release Planning Events (Agile) for incremental product releases in alignment with Program software release schedules and/or related milestones, to support Ground Systems operations.
  • Attends issue resolution boards with integration activities supporting program certification events/milestones.
Desired Qualifications
  • Ability to communicate technical approaches and details within project teams, including team / customer interaction and presentations
  • Prior experience supporting government led spectrum approval, interim flight clearances (IFC), Interim Authorization To Test (IATT), Authority to Operate (ATO), and ground node operations
  • Prior experience on logistics, test instrumentation, external interface equipment, and equipment installation to support military platform integration with a minimal modification to the platform(s).
  • Integrated product team lead and/or cost account manager experience.
  • Integration and test experience to include developing the detailed Integration Flow, identifying required facilities, coordinating development and procurement of test equipment, ground equipment, and data instrumentation, identifying and planning required personnel for execution.
  • Experience leading an Assembly, Integration and Test (AI&T) program to include initial planning, development, execution through to delivery of a complete system(s).
  • Experience leading trouble shooting, failure investigation, and resolution during platform/payload integration and testing event(s).
  • Strong working experience with government personnel to support the platform testing on-site.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent project management skills in organizing, running, and leading experiments within on-schedule and on-budget.
