Requirements
  • At least three years of recertification experience, with prior Low-Income Housing Tax Credit recertification experience.
  • Impeccable customer service skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask within time constraints.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, property management software, and internet use.
  • Full understanding of Housing and Urban Development and Low-Income Housing Tax Credit programs.
  • Strong understanding of HUD 4350 and experience with the Section 236 program and its CPO.
  • Section 8 experience.
  • Tax credit experience.
  • Public Housing experience.
  • Ability to travel up to 100% weekly to assigned worksites anywhere in the United States.
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday, with evenings and/or weekends potentially required on a regular basis.
Responsibilities
  • Lease and process applications according to on-site client policies and procedures.
  • Assist with move-ins and move-outs.
  • Complete annual and interim recertifications.
  • Schedule and administer resident interviews.
  • Coordinate on-site data collection and process resident information.
  • Schedule resident recertification interviews.
  • Calculate income, assets, and rent levels accurately.
  • Coordinate apartment inspections for recertification.
  • Maintain resident files according to company and regulatory-agency policies.
  • Assist office staff with tasks including rent collection and social activities.
  • Perform rehabilitation, brand-new lease-up, and re-syndication processes.
  • Assist management in preparing for state audits.
  • Complete additional tasks, duties, and responsibilities as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Professional certification such as Certified Occupancy Specialist, Tax Credit Specialist, or an industry HUD or Low-Income Housing Tax Credit designation.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish ability.
