Assembly Technician

Description

Summary: 

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assembly Technician to join our team. The Assembly Technician will be assembling pump fittings and spring assemblies, painting finished assemblies, and packaging items for shipment. The ideal candidate will be team-oriented, safety-conscious, and willing to take on various tasks within the manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

· Assemble pump fittings and spring assemblies to create completed products.

· Paint finished assemblies as per specifications.

· Package items for shipment to ensure safe delivery.

· Operate overhead cranes safely and efficiently.

· Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

· Perform other duties in the warehouse as needed to support team operations.

Requirements

Requirements:

· High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.

· Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and correspondence.

· Basic proficiency with hand tools is preferred.

· Capable of regularly lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.

· Willingness to work overtime and Saturdays as required.

· Must successfully pass a drug test and background check as part of the hiring process.

· Experience operating an overhead crane and forklift is a strong advantage.

EHS Requirements:

· Complete all work in accordance with safety requirements supporting the company's Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR) goals.

· Engage in all environmental and safety training requirements consistently.

Work Environment:

· Work primarily occurs in a heated, non-air-conditioned manufacturing environment.

· Hazards may include proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical currents, and exposure to chemicals.

· Potential atmospheric conditions such as fumes, odors, dust, and poor ventilation may be present.
