Requirements
  • A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
  • One year of experience and/or training in an automotive or manufacturing environment is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively is required.
  • Ability to work a standard 40-hour work week, including overtime and holidays as required by management, is required.
Responsibilities
  • Work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment while following safety procedures, production processes, and company policies.
  • Assemble components and sub-components using manual or automated machinery or tools.
  • Perform first-piece and in-process quality inspections.
  • Complete required production documentation manually or through data entry accurately and on time.
  • Visually inspect and test finished parts to verify correct assembly against quality specifications.
  • Meet productivity requirements or quotas while producing quality parts that meet customer and internal standards and specifications.
  • Operate equipment safely and effectively for production processing.
  • Work under the guidance of the supervisor and assembly lead to complete assigned duties in a timely manner.
  • Perform changeovers and general setups, including torch adjustments, mandrel balls, wiper dies, and changeover fixtures.
  • Monitor equipment functionality and verify that poke-yokes are working correctly; immediately report malfunctioning poke-yokes, bypasses, and unsafe or defective operations to the supervisor.
  • Provide assistance and training to other operators in their assigned responsibilities.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work area.
  • Perform other duties and projects assigned according to the company's operational objectives.
