Responsibilities
  • Staff the emergency department at various hospitals in Michigan.
  • Assess patients’ health and needs to fulfill them as effectively as possible.
  • Oversee patient care, treatment, and immediate recovery.
  • Monitor patients’ progress and maintain records of treatment, procedures, and other medical events.
  • Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests and explain the results to patients.
  • Oversee advanced practice providers’ course of care for patients in the emergency department.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and conduct routine procedures.
  • Cultivate a climate of trust and compassion for patients.
  • Comply with medical care regulations, laws, and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with emergency medicine team members and various specialties.
