Responsible for executing financial, operational, and compliance audits across various areas of Associated Bank. This role requires independent audit execution, documentation, and acting as a resource to ensure adherence to department standards. Key responsibilities include evaluating the control environment, planning audits by identifying risks and processes, and collaborating with management to address internal control risks while maintaining positive relationships with business units.
This person will also:
Conduct audits through inquiry, testing, and observation. Collaborate with management and Private Wealth business lines on internal control effectiveness and prepare related communications and reports. Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations to identify and mitigate risks.
Mentor staff in documenting key controls and risk management.
Maintain relationships with business line staff, fostering a high-performance culture and positive interactions.
Validate issues to ensure effective testing supports their resolution.
Assist Audit Management with examination materials.
Stay current in audit methodologies and banking processes through workshops and professional networks, ensuring compliance risks are integrated into audit assessments.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree. Required
1-3 years of progressive audit experience. Required
Licenses and Certifications
AP-Advanced Professional Certification within 2 years. Required
CPA/CIA within 2 years. Preferred
