Requirements
  • Previous experience in hotel sales, preferably within the leisure segment.
  • Good knowledge of leisure markets, travel agencies, tour operators, and destination management companies.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • A results-oriented and proactive approach to business development.
  • Good knowledge of the Dubai hospitality and leisure market is an advantage.
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to accommodate irregular or extended hours.
Responsibilities
  • Manage a predetermined number of key accounts, key prospects, and other active accounts to maximize production and meet set targets.
  • Manage assigned accounts, focusing on local destination management companies and selected United Kingdom accounts.
  • Complete a minimum of two to three sales calls weekly.
  • Maintain active relationships with overseas partners through a minimum of two conference calls per week.
  • Attend trade shows and assigned sales trips and provide accurate follow-up reports.
  • Manage VIP villa booking inventory.
  • Maintain valid call objectives and relevant action plans for each key account and prospect, completing follow-up in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all accounts are properly updated in the system.
  • Maintain current activity and rate information for each account.
  • Enter all activities and production into Opera and ASA according to Sofitel standards.
  • Prepare special frequent individual traveler offers and send new offers with accurate follow-up to communicate efficiently with clients.
  • Action group and event inquiries and ensure accurate handover to the Inspired Meeting team for follow-up.
  • Ensure sufficient sales kits are available for visits.
  • Communicate client requirements accurately and promptly to internal departments to ensure superior guest service.
  • Ensure accurate internal follow-up and communication with reservations and accounting departments, and confirm details with clients.
  • Keep rate sheets accurate at all times.
  • Communicate obstacles to completing action plans to the Sales Manager or Assistant Director of Sales.
  • Arrange and manage familiarization and educational trips in line with business needs.
  • Respond within 24 hours to group inquiries by checking space and rates in the system and communicating with the respective manager for further follow-up.
  • Follow up with the Sales Manager to obtain or confirm event-related information in a timely manner.
  • Conduct site inspections as required.
