Requirements
  • Equivalent combinations of education and progressively responsible healthcare leadership experience are accepted.
  • Five to ten years of experience in a multi-clinic healthcare environment is required.
  • Three to five years of experience managing supervisor-level and above employees is required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of ambulatory healthcare delivery and management is required.
  • Demonstrated experience in budget management, operations change management, and strategic planning is required.
  • Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and clinical laws and regulations is required.
  • Knowledge of or experience with electronic health record and practice management systems is required.
  • Measles, mumps, and varicella immunizations and annual influenza immunization are conditions of employment; medical or religious exemptions will be considered consistent with applicable law.
Responsibilities
  • Provide clinic operational oversight for the ambulatory Heart & Vascular service line, including Cardiology, Vascular Surgery, Cardiac Surgery, and future cardiovascular service line expansion.
  • Directly oversee Practice Leaders and develop leadership capabilities across the service line.
  • Partner with physician leaders to improve operational efficiency, patient access, quality, physician satisfaction, and financial performance.
  • Lead day-to-day clinic operations while ensuring alignment with organizational strategic priorities.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient access, referral management, provider productivity, and clinic capacity.
  • Partner with physicians and executive leadership to develop business plans supporting growth initiatives, new programs, physician recruitment, and expansion opportunities.
  • Identify operational barriers impacting patient throughput and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Develop, monitor, and manage operational budgets.
  • Review productivity, access, staffing, quality, and financial metrics and develop action plans to improve performance.
  • Lead operational improvement initiatives using Lean and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Partner with physician leadership on recruitment, onboarding, workforce planning, and provider retention.
  • Develop APP staffing strategies to optimize physician efficiency and improve patient access.
  • Support physician compensation planning by providing operational and productivity analysis.
  • Lead initiatives to improve patient experience, access, safety, and quality metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and organizational policies.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Compliance, Revenue Cycle, Information Technology, and ancillary departments to improve clinical operations.
  • Serve as the operational representative for the Heart & Vascular service line on organizational committees and strategic initiatives.
  • Lead implementation of new clinical programs, technology, workflow redesign, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with hospital operations to optimize the continuum of care between inpatient and outpatient cardiovascular services.
Desired Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, Public Health, or a related field is preferred.
  • A master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Project management experience is preferred.
  • Experience in cardiology clinic management is preferred.
  • Experience in vascular surgery clinic management is preferred.
  • Experience in cardiac surgery clinic management is preferred.
  • Experience with cardiovascular imaging is preferred.
  • Experience in multi-specialty physician practice operations is preferred.
  • Experience with community health system partnerships is preferred.
  • Experience with physician practice acquisitions and integration is preferred.
  • Experience in service line development is preferred.
