The Opportunity
The Quality Control Specialist will play a key role in supporting the Quality team by performing thorough product inspections and ensuring finished goods meet internal quality standards and customer specifications. This entry-level position will focus on verifying product integrity, packaging compliance, labeling accuracy, and documentation completeness from our third-party manufacturers before products are released for sale.
What You’ll Do:
- Conduct finished product inspections (visual, physical, dimensional) to verify compliance with approved specifications.
- Review product labeling and packaging to ensure accuracy, regulatory compliance, and consistency with approved artwork.
- Document inspection results clearly and accurately, including any non-conformances or deviations.
- Participate in batch record reviews and Certificate of Analysis (COA) verification from third-party manufacturers.
- Perform inspections on product samples received from contract manufacturers, including sensory checks (color, aroma, appearance).
- Communicate and document any quality issues or deficiencies to the Quality Supervisor/Director and initiate appropriate follow-up.
- Assist in tracking and trending of quality metrics and inspection outcomes.
- Collaborate with internal departments (Purchasing, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Product Development) to support continuous improvement and compliance.
- Support the investigation and resolution of customer complaints related to product quality.
- Assist with document control and record keeping of quality records in accordance with company policies.
What We’re Looking For:
- Minium 2 years of experience in quality, preferably in dietary supplements, food, or pharmaceutical industries.
- Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and FDA regulations for dietary supplements is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
