Orchard Robotics designs and sells (and may lease) advanced camera systems paired with AI-powered computer vision software to manage crop load in orchards. The system attaches to tractors or farm vehicles, capturing images of trees and using custom software to size and track visible fruit on every tree. This provides growers with precise data on fruit load, enabling informed decisions to optimize yield and fruit quality. Unlike generic surveillance or imaging tools, Orchard combines Cornell University–originated research with purpose-built hardware and software for per-tree fruit counting and tracking. The company’s goal is to help orchard operators improve crop yield and quality through data-driven farming, supported by direct sales or service contracts.
