Laurent Rousseau appointed Head of International for Marsh Re. Marsh, a global professional services firm, has announced the appointment of Laurent Rousseau as Head of International, Marsh Re, effective immediately. In this expanded role, based in London, Rousseau will lead Marsh Re's Asia, Pacific, Latin America and Caribbean regions in addition to Europe and IMEA. He will also retain global leadership of Capital and Advisory, and work alongside Marsh Re's regional leaders to deliver the firm's capabilities to clients in this complex risk environment. Rousseau will continue to report to Dean Klisura, President and CEO, Marsh Re, who commented: "Laurent is an exceptional leader with deep reinsurance expertise, a global perspective, and a strong understanding of the evolving needs of its clients. "His leadership across our international regions will further strengthen how we deliver the full breadth of Marsh's reinsurance expertise and solutions to clients." Rousseau brings over 25 years of investment banking and reinsurance experience to his new position, having initially joined the company following a 13-year tenure at SCOR. During his time at SCOR, he held leadership roles of increasing responsibility, eventually becoming Chief Executive Officer of the French reinsurer. The executive started his career as an insurance equity research associate at Credit Suisse First Boston before moving to JP Morgan's Mergers & Acquisitions Financial Institutions Group in London. Commenting on his recent appointment, Rousseau said: "Today's risk environment demands both deep local expertise and a truly global perspective. I look forward to working with our international teams to build on our strong foundation and bring the tailored reinsurance, capital, and advisory solutions clients need to confidently navigate today's increasingly complex global risk landscape."

AIA Australia appoints new Chief Retail Insurance Officer. August 25, 2026 AIA Australia has appointed Paula Bourke as its new Chief Retail Insurance Officer, which the insurer says reflects its continued focus on delivering sustainable growth and strengthening support for its advice partners and customers. Bourke will lead AIA Australia's Retail leadership team "...bringing together the organisation's retail product, pricing, distribution and retention functions as part of a broader strategy to drive quality growth and enhance customer and adviser outcomes." CEO and Managing Director Damien Mu says Bourke's appointment marks an important milestone in the company's Retail growth strategy, noting she is a highly respected leader with deep expertise across life insurance, reinsurance, product innovation and business transformation.
