Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Electronics and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or Automotive Engineering
  • 60 months of experience in automotive systems engineering or related position
  • Experience achieving ASPICE CL2 and CL3 in a practical environment
  • Experience rolling out processes, methods, and tooling to engineering organizations
  • Experience using ALM toolchains to support engineering work
  • Experience with engineering product life cycles and development frameworks
  • ASPICE Certification (Provisional, Competent, or Principal Assessor)
Responsibilities
  • Lead the Development Process Engineer ("DPE") team to propel the engineering organization’s awareness, understanding, and adoption of the BorgWarner Electronic Development Framework ("EDF")
  • Lead a team of Development Process Engineers in North America to ensure process and quality goals are met
  • Own, create, and lead the team to achieve an EDF implementation strategy and ASPICE achievement roadmap
  • Lead the implementation of a systematic approach to driving adoption of EDF processes on projects
  • Interface with the Process Development and Tools teams to ensure effective solution delivery to projects and to provide feedback and improvements to the Global Process group
  • Work with the New Business Opportunity teams to help plan and estimate EDF-based projects
  • Lead and contribute to DPE-based initiatives within the Engineering Excellence organization
  • Lead project teams through ASPICE assessment preparation for internal / external assessments
  • Identify strengths, weaknesses, and trends within development projects to allow for better usage or improvements of the EDF-PDS process
  • Contribute to the EDF technical strategy and Process solutions
