Requirements
  • Experience in delivering final design for Major FDOT projects including FDOT Miscellaneous Structures, Minor Bridge Design, Major Bridge Design, and complex bridge design.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical/business field and typically 20+ years of related work experience is required.
  • Proven ability to perform in a leadership role in the structures discipline.
  • Strong business acumen and proven experience in management of staff resulting in profitable projects and favorable FDOT grades.
  • In-depth knowledge of FDOT design procedures, and associated state and federal guidelines/requirements.
  • State of Florida Professional Engineer registration is required.
Responsibilities
  • Utilize industry experience and knowledge of client to assist with pursuit strategies
  • Identify key pursuits
  • Lead pursuit efforts (pre-sale, teaming, proposal, interview, presentations, etc.)
  • Scope development/refinement
  • Negotiations
  • Team (internal/external) collaboration and coordination during project delivery
  • Management and mentoring of staff
  • Leading internal/external progress meetings
  • Management of discipline scope, schedule, and budget
  • Identification of opportunities for follow-up work
