Cloud Engineer (AWS/Azure)

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer specializing in AWS or Azure to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cloud computing, infrastructure as a service (IaaS), and platform as a service (PaaS) offerings. This role is pivotal in designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, and scalability.

Responsibilities

• Design and Development: Architect and develop secure, scalable, and highly available cloud solutions using AWS or Azure services.
• Implementation: Implement cloud infrastructure solutions that meet the company’s requirements and best practices.
• Automation: Develop scripts and automation tools to streamline cloud operations and management.
• Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor cloud systems to ensure performance, security, and availability, resolving issues proactively.
• Security: Implement and manage security measures in accordance with industry best practices and compliance requirements.
• Collaboration: Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to integrate cloud solutions effectively.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud architecture, processes, and procedures.
• Training and Support: Provide guidance and support to team members and stakeholders on cloud technologies and practices.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cloud engineering, with a focus on AWS or Azure.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or equivalent.
• Skills:
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture and services (e.g., EC2, S3, VPC, Lambda for AWS or VMs, Azure Blob Storage, Azure Functions for Azure).
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
