  • BA/BS Degree with at least 7-10 years of pharmaceutical experience.

  • Experience with injectable or infused oncology/hematology or specialty products that are administered “incident to” a physician service (reimbursed as a medical benefit) is required; buy and bill experience required.

  • Clinical knowledge in one or more of the following therapeutic areas preferred: Oncology; Hematology; Blood and Marrow Transplant.
  • Strong background for products on the medical benefit and how that impacts reimbursement by different payer types (Commercial, Medicare, Medicaid).
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with Sales, Marketing, Market Access, and National Accounts teams to ensure product access.
  • Strong communication and educational skills with both internal and external customers that results in product access.
  • Demonstrates good verbal and written communication skills to provide updates, direction, information, and clarification in a timely manner.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel and PowerPoint).

Responsibilities
  • Educate inpatient and outpatient billing, coding, office managers and other care team members on coding, billing, coverage and reimbursement to optimize access to Omeros therapies.
  • Collaborate with members of the Omeros field team—including Transplant Clinical Account Managers, Market Development Managers, and Sales Business Directors and National Payer Account Managers—to develop and execute overall account strategies, ensuring consistent and aligned education on reimbursement and patient access.
  • Liaise with the entire Market Access department including HUB Services, distribution services, other Omeros staff, and inpatient/outpatient staff to identify and resolve trending issues regarding patient access to Omeros products.
  • Identify and develop short-term & long-term strategic account plans, programs, services focusing on increasing education at the HCP level regarding reimbursement / access methods for patients.
  • Proactively communicate Omeros specific reimbursement programs, coding/billing, policies, procedures, and resources to HCP personnel related to access; the majority of time is spent on customer engagement.
  • Monitor, analyze, and triage situations which may adversely impact patient access to therapy and provide timely feedback to internal/external customers.
  • Collaborate with Patient Services (HUB), Specialty Pharmacy, and other reimbursement entities on individual case management needs related to HCP education on reimbursement issues.
  • Collaborate closely with Field Payer teams on coverage policy developments
  • Establish relationships with key institution/hospital, physician office, specialty pharmacy and other personnel associated with coding, billing, reimbursement and provide reimbursement-related support (Coding, Billing, Payment, Policy).
  • Comply with all federal/state/local laws, regulations and guidelines including but not limited to the PhRMA Code on Interactions with Healthcare Professionals as well as complying with all Omeros standards and policies relating to all job activities.

Omeros Corp has reported a net income of $86.5 million for Q4 2025, reversing a $30.9 million loss in the previous quarter, driven by a $237.6 million gain from its zaltnibart transaction with Novo Nordisk. Omeros ships first commercial orders of YARTEMLEA for stem cell transplant complication

Omeros Corporation has completed its first commercial shipments of YARTEMLEA (narsoplimab-wuug), with transplant centres beginning orders immediately. Both adult and paediatric patients with stem cell transplant-associated thrombotic microangiopathy (TA-TMA) are now receiving treatment in hospital and outpatient settings. YARTEMLEA is the first and only approved therapy for TA-TMA, a potentially fatal complication of stem cell transplantation. The drug received FDA approval on 23 December 2025 for use in adults and children aged two years and older. TA-TMA develops in up to 56% of allogeneic transplant recipients, according to recent studies. Approximately 30,000 allogeneic transplants are performed annually in the United States and Europe. A marketing authorisation application is under review by the European Medicines Agency, with a decision expected in mid-2026.

Novo Nordisk snaps up Omeros' rare disease asset for up to $2.1bn. Novo Nordisk will now run a Phase III trial for zaltenibart in the rare blood disorder, PNH. Danish pharma giant Novo Nordisk has inked a definitive deal with Omeros Corporation to acquire its late-stage-ready rare disease asset, zaltenibart. By selling the rights to the monoclonal antibody (mAb), which demonstrated potential in a Phase II trial in blood disorder paroxysmal nocturnal haemoglobinuria (PNH), Omeros will pocket $340m in upfront and short-term milestone payments. The biopharma is also eligible to receive up to $2.1bn in development and commercial milestone payments from Novo Nordisk, depending on how the drug performs in upcoming Phase III trials in PNH. These studies will be initiated and funded by Novo Nordisk. Formerly known as OMS906, zaltenibart was due to enter Phase III clinical trials under Omeros' name, but the company later pressed pause on the drug's late-stage development. This came after Omeros forecasted a "ramp up in spending" on these studies, which led the biopharma to "prioritise" the use of capital currently available to it. Zaltenibart's financial performance could bode well for the rest of Omeros' pipeline, according to investor reaction. The company's stock value shot up more than 180% after the news debuted, going from $4.10 at market close on 14 October to $11.59 at market open on 15 October. Novo's choice to purchase zaltenibart will bolster the company's rare blood disease pipeline, which currently includes five drugs in Phases I to III. This includes erythrocyte pyruvate kinase (PKR) activator etavopivat, which the pharma obtained through its acquisition of Forma in 2022 and is now in Phase III trials for sickle cell disease. Zaltenibart works by inhibiting the mannan-binding lectin-associated serine protease-3 (MASP-3), a complement system enzyme that is key to activating the alternative pathway. According to Sir Peter Lachmann, Emeritus Sheila Joan Smith Professor of Immunology at the University of Cambridge, MASP-3 inhibitors such as zaltenibart could have "important advantages relative to a complement 5 (C5) inhibitor," for treating PNH. Lachmann noted that this was likely due to zaltenibart's ability to block both intra- and extravascular haemolysis, which he said C5 inhibitors cannot achieve. As a result, zaltenibart could take a chunk of the PNH market if approved. The indication is currently dominated by C5 inhibitors such as AstraZeneca's Soliris (eculizumab) and Ultomiris (ravulizumab). However, the recent market debut of Novartis' Fabhalta (iptacopan) could be a spanner in the works for intravenous (IV) therapies like zaltenibart, as the drug is orally administered - enhancing patient convenience. Outside of PNH, Omeros has previously touted the potential of the mAb in other rare blood and kidney disorders.
