Requirements
  • Previous experience in a similar role or as a Team Leader, with readiness to take a first Supervisory role.
  • Good command of the English language, both written and verbal.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Excellent product knowledge of food and beverages.
  • Excellent communication, time management, presentation, and customer care skills.
  • Initiative and a supportive, team-oriented approach.
Responsibilities
  • Play an integral role in the successful delivery of catering across the site.
  • Train or provide training to staff so they operate in accordance with department standards, including any required casual labor.
  • Monitor the standards achieved in the department daily and report areas of concern to line managers.
  • Liaise with kitchen, events, reception, and other necessary business areas to ensure food and service are consistent with pre-agreed menus and standards.
  • Handle customer complaints effectively and courteously, referring complaints to the line manager when necessary.
  • Carry out regular checks of event areas for maintenance, housekeeping, and health and safety issues, and report findings to the line manager.
  • Ensure in-house accounting policies are followed and monitor food and beverage control, including stock taking.
  • Monitor staff timesheets to ensure they are completed correctly.
  • Supervise culinary and catering teams to maintain high-quality food and customer service.
  • Support and train teams, leading by example so employees can excel in their roles.
